About our poles: We enjoy the beautiful look of our natural Pine and Douglas fir woods and hope you will too. We would like you to be fully informed on the products you are getting, so we will share with you the following information. Each pole is hand-selected for quality and stored indoors. From there, we handcraft each pole into a finished product before delivering. During the drying process, wood sometimes form what is called "checking", the forming of small cracks towards the heart of the tree, especially if exposed to very dry weather that causes quick drying. Checking does not compromise the integrity of the pole. This is a natural process and there is no way to anticipate or prevent this, as wood is a natural product. Additionally, each piece of wood will have its own characteristics, such as knots, grains, and color. While we work hard to ensure the quality and consistency of our products, they are still made from a naturally-grown material and may possess unique features. We feel this contributes to their unique beauty and we hope you do too!
